Just what makes a smoothie a green smoothie? Well, green smoothies are smoothies with a healthy mix of greens (spinach, kale, parsley, cilantro, etc.) blended in the mix. Why? Greens are extremely nutritious, but they are also hard to fit into your daily meals or diet. Greens may not be the most flavorful foods and can be hard to chew and digest. So blending them in a smoothie is a good solution for adding more greens to your diet. Adding fruits can help sweeten the flavor and makes getting your daily servings of both fruits and veggies even easier.
