The simple yogurt and fruit smoothie. Almost the smoothie at its most basic. We added a few things to make the flavors a little more "complicated," such as vanilla and a squeeze of lemon, if you can handle it.

Nutrition

Ingredients

2 C Vanilla Yogurt (or fruit flavor) (I like Old Home brand)
1 Banana - cut up*
4-5 Strawberries*
1⁄2 tsp Vanilla or Almond Extract
1 Tbsp Sugar or Equal
Lemon for a zesty flavor addition
Enough Ice Cubes to fill blender loosely

  1. Sometimes I freeze fresh strawberries and cut back on the ice.
  2. You can add more or less of any of the ingredients.
  3. You can use whatever type of fresh fruit you like, approximately 1-1/2 - 2 C worth.

Hi! Thank you for all these great recipes!!! I tried the yogurt fruit smoothie one, but replaced the strawberries with peaches, and the sugar with honey. I also halved the recipe. The consistency was wonderful, and I will be using this as a base for my future smoothies! THANKS!!!!
