While milk products such as yogurt, ice cream and, yes, milk are staples of the smoothie world, many people cannot tolerate or don't want the extra calories of milk or dairy ingredients in their smoothie. So for all the lactose intolerant folks who still enjoy a delicious and healthy smoothie, we give you the non-dairy strawberry smoothie. Of course, it will be simple, but adding some sweetener to it will change this from a normal strawberry smoothie to a lip-smacking smoothie and it is also going to provide you with a host of health benefits.

Everything works with frozen strawberries, but be aware you may need to add less ice or remove ice from this smoothie recipe if you use frozen fruit.

Is the calorie count correct? 1 cup of strawberries is about 50 calories, and 1 tblsp of honey is only about 70 calories.

Sorry, you are right about the calorie count being wrong. I don’t know how I made that mistake. There are 110 calories in this strawberry smoothie recipe.

You ever heard of someone using pudding mix in place of milk or yogurt?

I think the pudding mix would be too much of a dry ingredient, but I am intrigued. Let us know if you try it. Email me if you do this and take photos –
