The simple yogurt and fruit smoothie. Almost the smoothie at its most basic. We added a few things to make the flavors a little more “complicated,” such as vanilla and a squeeze of lemon, if you can handle it.
Yogurt Fruit Smoothie Ingredients:
- 2 C Vanilla Yogurt (or fruit flavor)(I like Old Home brand)
- 1 Banana – cut up*
- 4-5 Strawberries*
- 1⁄2 tsp Vanilla or Almond Extract
- 1 Tbsp Sugar or Equal
- Lemon for a zesty flavor addition
- Enough Ice Cubes to fill blender loosely
Sometimes I freeze fresh strawberries and cut back on the ice. You can add more or less of any of the ingredients. *You can use whatever type of fresh fruit you like, approximately 1-1/2 – 2 C worth.
