Life Saver Smoothie
Smoothies are really a life saver. I drink them when ever I do not want to eat, but need the energy to go. Smoothies are dinner in my house. I break my Juice fasting ” I call my mini miracle” with smoothies.
I use what ever fruits I have in my freezer as a base. Strawberries, blueberries, peaches, pineapples, mangoes, I mean any fruit is fine.
In this base I add sprouts (lentils, mung beans, alfalfa), greens (lettuce, steamed veggies), kifer, whey powder, spirulina.
My favorite sprouts smoothie lately
Ingredients:
- 2 cups peaches (or other fruit)
- 1TB lentil sprouts
- 2TB alfalfa sprouts
- 1TB ground flax seed
- 1/2 banana
- 1 TB whey powder
- 1/4 cup kifer
I use blend stick to blend every thing but the kifer. I stir the kifer after the smoothie is blended. This smoothie is hearty & very satisfying. It tasted good too. Yummy.

Coconut Oil Low Carb Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 small banana
- other fruit (preferably fresh if available): 2-3 strawberries, peach slices, blueberries, etc.
- 6 to 8 ounces of fruit juice (orange, pineapple, grape, or whatever suits your palate)
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of coconut oil (solid)
- 1 scoop whey protein
Preparation
Blend the above ingredients with the immersion blender until they are smooth. If the drink is too thick for your taste, add a little more juice. Clean up is a quick rinse and blending of a drop or two of dish soap in some hot water and a thorough rinse.
Mango Protein Smoothie
Mango also has many health benefits. It’s rich in fat-soluble antioxidants called carotenoids, which are anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, protect the brain and nervous system, guard skin against sun damage, and are beneficial for people with angina, high cholesterol, heart disease, and acne. It’s also rich in vitamin C and potassium.
