Carrot Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups carrot juice
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 6 oz. non-fat vanilla or plain yogurt, frozen
  • 1 banana

Put all ingredients into blender. Blend until smoothie consistency is reached!

Bahama Mama Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup tofu
  • 1 1/2 cups tropical V-8 Splash or other pineapple/citrus blend
  • 1/4 cup plain non fat yogurt
  • 1/2 banana
  • Frozen strawberries, pineapple, and mango
  • water or soy milk to taste/consistency

Optional:
3 or 4 baby carrots (you’ll never know they’re in there!) 1 tbs. wheat germ or 4-5 almonds
Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth.

Mega Big Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 mango — peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 2 bananas — peeled and chopped
  • 8 large strawberries
  • 2 medium carrots — chopped
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup yogurt — optional

In a blender combine half of each ingredient, including: mango,
bananas, strawberries, carrots, ice cubes, honey and yogurt and blend
until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Repeat process
for remaining ingredients. Yield: 2 servings

Vegetable Smoothie Recipe

Cucumber, red pepper and scallions blend in our Vegetable Smoothie to help get the morning off to a vigorous start.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup peeled and chopped cucumber
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped scallions
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh-ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot-pepper sauce

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Chill for at least 30 minutes. Fill 4 glasses with ice and divide the smoothie mixture among the glasses.

Serves 4

Cantaloupe Carrot Creamsicle Smoothie

Get a healthy dose of vitamin C and beta-carotene in a concoction that tastes like an intensely delicious creamsicle, and is good enough to serve as a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced lush, ripe cantaloupe
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups carrot or carrot-orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate
  • 1 cup low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt or nondairy frozen dessert

Preparation

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Adjust consistency with more liquid if desired. Serve at once in tall glasses. Serves 2 to 3.
