Frozen Blueberry Smoothie Recipe
I have been on a blueberry kick lately and what better way to get some blueberries in your diet than with a blueberry smoothie. Nothing complicated here, but the honey will really sweeten this smoothie. You may wish to taste before adding it in.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (unthawed)
- 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup 1% skim or 1% milk
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2-3 ice cubes (optional)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth or to desired consistency then serve in glasses.

College Dorm Smoothie
Most of us don’t really have a package of frozen strawberries or a container of plain yogurt (not to mention flaxseed) lying around, but we crave smoothies too! So this is for you, ESPECIALLY if you’re a college student and you can swipe all these items from your dining hall.
Ingredients:
- 4 ice cubes
- All-fruit Popsicle (I used Edy’s strawberry Fresh Fruit bar)
- 1/2 cup of orange juice
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 6 oz flavored yogurt (I used Yoplait light banana creme pie)
- 1/2 banana
- 1/3 packet of instant oatmeal (I used Quaker Low Sugar Strawberries and Cream)
and just blend it all up!
Submitted by a college student, obviously.
