Healthy Breakfast Smoothie
I decided to make a instructional video about my most favorite healthy breakfast smoothie recipe. I have this smoothie about once a week and would do it more if I had the time every morning. This smoothie can be had anytime as a meal replacement so don’t let the breakfast title fool you. They whey powder makes this a tasty protein smoothie as well. The smoothie recipe is below the movie.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of frozen berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and/or strawberries)
- 1 scoop of whey powder
- 1 Tbs. flaxseed oil
- 1Tbs. ground flaxseed
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. unsweetened cranberry juice
- 1 pack of Stevia
- 8 ice cubes
- 1 cup water
Blend until smooth and if needed you can add a few ice cubes to thiken it up. Make a little over sixteen ounces, so it will a good size to go cup and you can take a quick shot of the extra before you head out the door.
Power Protein Smoothie
Looking for a delicious and protein packed smoothie? This may satisfy both the needs of your tastebuds and muscles.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 tablespoons chcolate milk syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon dry chocolate pudding mix
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 banana
- 1 cups ice
You may wish to add whey power, which I have and that packs even more protein in this drink. Try one tablespoon for extra protein power.
Eggnog Smoothie Recipe
Christmas Eggnog Smoothie
Eggnog is great during the holiday season and smoothies are great anytime. Can you see where I’m going with this? Eggnog Smoothie!
- 4 ice cubes
- 1 cup water
- 1 scoop Fat Flush Vanilla Whey Protein
- 1 envelope Stevia Plus
- 1 egg
- 1/4 t. each nutmeg,(Phase 3) ginger, cinnamon
Blend till smooth, pour and sprinkle a bit of nutmeg on top.
Here is another eggnog smoothie if this one turns you into Scrooge.
Power Smoothie Recipe
If this power protein smoothie doesn’t get you moving you’ll need to add pure adrenaline. A great smoothie recipe with power.
Power Smoothie
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup fruit juice (i.e. orange, cranberry, etc.)
For added nutrition use:
- 1 Tbls. soy protein powder
- 1 Tbls. molasses
- 1 tsp. wheat germ.
Blend until smooth. Then add frozen fruit, i.e. strawberries, raspberries, etc., one at a time, until smoothie is consistency you desire. The basic recipe is: ice, fruit, yoghurt, juice and/or milk. (I usually stick to juice, but sometimes add just a splash of milk to smooth it out.)
Strawberry Soy Smoothie
Adding the soy and tofu gives this a protein boost along with all the helpful nutrition provided by soy and tofu.
Strawberry Soy Smoothie Recipe
- 1 cup vanilla soy milk
- 5 ounces silken tofu, firm, chilled and cubed
- 2 cups frozen or fresh strawberries
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Combine in blender. Makes 2 shakes.
