Help Me Study Smoothie

December 31, 2011 · Filed Under Chocolate Smoothies, Healing Smoothies · Comment

This smoothie will help you retain what you read and give you a quick pick-me-up. This smoothie is NOT for losing weight, it is for memory retention and cognitive support and is calorie heavy so don’t drink this every day. Think about blending this up with you have a study session or test the next day.

Help Me Study Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup vanilla nonfat yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate sauce
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon lecithin granules (why lecithin?)
Lecithin for the brain: When you digest lecithin granules, it is broken down into the nutrient choline before entering cell membranes. Choline is used to make acetylcholine, a nerve chemical essential for proper brain function.

Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie

This is a recipe that I use when its one of those hot days and im to lazy to make anything and I can’t think of anything cold to eat.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 apple bananas (2-2 1/2 regular banana)
  • 4 spoonfuls of peanut butter (creamy preferred) (or 2 spoonfuls if you have a big spoon)
  • 1 can of sprite
  • 7-15 pieces of ice (depending on how thick you want your smoothie)

You mix together the bananas, peanut butter, and sprite first.  then when that is fully blended together you add in the ice.  I like my smoothies more on the liquidy side so I put in less ice so its still smooth but you also have that crunch.

Power Protein Smoothie

Looking for a delicious and protein packed smoothie? This may satisfy both the needs of your tastebuds and muscles.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons chcolate milk syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry chocolate pudding mix
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cups ice

You may wish to add whey power, which I have and that packs even more protein in this drink. Try one tablespoon for extra protein power.
