Green Julius

This submission isn’t a smoothie recipe I have tried. And I’m not the biggest fan of green smoothies – usually not sweet enough for my tastes, but the health benefits of gren smoothies can’t be ignored. Please let me know if you try this one. I am very curious how the parsley would taste. That’s a lot of parsley. Pardons to the more famous Orange Julius recipes we have.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 2 large mangoes
  • 2 cups fresh parsley or spinach
  • 2 cups of ice

Blend well and drink your healthy green smoothie. Yields 4 cups or 2 servings, as I feel 16 ounces is one serving for a smoothie.

Who knows if this is the real recipe for an Orange Julius, especially with egg whites, but you never know. If anyone gives this smoothie recipe a try let me know how it turns out.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 heaping cup ice

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender set on high speed for 15-30 seconds.

Makes 2 drinks.
