The key is putting slightly more pineapples than strawberries, and because the fruit is frozen you dont need ice. Tastes great and very healthy!!

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups of Welch’s Strawberry Breeze Juice (or fill blender little less than half way full)
  • 2 1/2 hand fulls of Dole’s frozen pineapples
  • 1 1/2 to 2 hand fulls of Dole’s frozen whole strawberries
  • 3 squirts of clover honey

Preparation:
Mix in blender on high for a few seconds. Serves 2 large cups.

Tropical Berry Tofu Smoothie

A great combination of strawberries, blueberries and the added health benefits of Tofu make this a delicious and healthy smoothie recipe.

Tropical Berry Tofu Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1 cup light (reduced sugar if desired) fat-free vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 banana
  • 3″ cube of soft tofu
  • 3/4 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup strawberries

Put yogurt, milk, banana, tofu, and Equal into blender and blend until smooth. Add berries and blend again until consistency is reached.

Strawberry Tea Smoothie

Strawberry Tea Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 2 tea bags
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 3 tbs honey
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries

Brew tea and let steep for around 6 minutes. Remove the tea bags. Blend yogurt, berries and honey until smooth. Add tea, and blend a bit more. Serve over ice. Using non-fat yogurt will make this smoothie healthy and tasty.

Healthy Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 C. yogurt (Plain)
  • 1 C. orange juice
  • 1 C. grapes (essential for sweetness)
  • 1 apple
  • 1 or 2 sm. bananas
  • 12 walnuts
  • 1 bale shredded wheat or 1⁄2 C. Grape Nuts

To these basic ingredients add/subtract: 2 C. sugar-free frozen fruit, 1 orange, 1 peach, 8 oz. dried apricots (can be soaked in the orange
juice), 1 kiwi, cantaloupe/honeydew melon (in season). Place all in a blender and blend at high speed.

Ruby Red Grapefruit Smoothie Recipe

Starting the new year off by trying to lose weight? This healthy ruby red grapfruit smoothie is a good way to start.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large pink or ruby red grapefruit
  • 1/2 cup cold water (preferably refrigerated)
  • 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • Fresh mint, chopped for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Peel grapefruit and remove as much pith as possible. Divide the sections and remove any seeds.
  2. Add grapefruit sections and water to a blender and blend until smooth. Add the yogurt, honey and ice then process until smooth or to desired consistency.
  3. Pour into tall glasses and serve garnished with mint.
