Well, here is something new to try for me: dandelion greens. Here is some information about dandelion greens. Of course, adding them to a smoothie is a good way to get them into your diet. We all need more greens.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups dandelion greens
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 mango
  • 1 peach

Blend until creamy, then drink and feel healthier, you just had a green smoothie.

The Carb-o-nator Smoothie

June 8, 2009 · Filed Under Fruit Smoothies, Yogurt Smoothies · 1 Comment

Yeah, yeah, I know. Carbs are bad. Well, not when they are being delivered in a great smoothie recipe. Most fruit smoothies are full of delicious “evil” carbs, but this one pours it. Now you can pour it out, the Carb Smoothie, that is.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup yogurt (any flavor, but vanilla is a good base)
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1 small banana
  • 2 cups of ice

Blend, drink and exercise off all those carbs. ;-)

A smoothie with lemonade in it is right up my alley. I love a tart smoothie and this berry smoothie has just right amount. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 1/2 cups lemonade
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup raspberry sherbet

Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender. Add all frozen ingredients. Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then blend at SMOOTH setting until smooth. While the machine is running, move the stir stick around counter-clockwise to aid mixing. Serve immediately. Each recipe serves 3-5.
