POM Morning Protein Shake
I love pomegranate and POM is a wonderful way to get the great taste of pomegranate and the wonderful health benefits it provides. Pour POM into a smoothie, add some protein powder and a handful of almond slivers and you have a POWerful POM breakfast smoothie to get your day going right.
POM Smoothie Ingredients:
- 1 cup POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice
- 3/4 soy or almond milk
- 2 ice cubes
- 1 large banana
- 2 tablespoons silvered almonds
- 2 tablespoons protein powder
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional, but recommended.)
Feel free to substitute low-fat milk for the soy or almond milk. Honey is optional but I like the bit of sweetness.
POM Breakfast Smoothie
This POM smoothie is full of super healthy antioxidants from the pomegranate juice and and the almonds. The banana provides a great source of potassium. This is being labeled as a breakfast smoothie, but it ain’t bad for a lunch smoothie either. Why is pomegranate juice (POM) so wonderful: Its has wonderful healthy benefits such as Antioxidants. There have been many Scientific Studies showing that POM can support a healthy cardiovascular system and helps with problems such as high blood pressure and diabetes Type II among others.

Oh yeah, what about the POM Smoothie recipe? Here it is:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup POM wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice
- 3/4 cup soy or low-fat milk
- 2 ice cubes
- 1 large banana
- 2 tablespoons almonds
- 3 table spoons protein powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon honey or stevia sweetener
In a blender combine all ingredients. Cover and blend on high for at least 30 seconds (make sure the almonds aren’t visible) then pour into two glasses. Makes 2 servings.
Strawberry Smoothie with Dates
A strawberry smoothie with a surprise of sweetness, dates! The almonds add a nice unexpected flavor as well, but I will never underestimate the humble date again. What do you think about this slightly unusual strawberry smoothie?
Ingredients:
- ½ cup strawberries
- ¼ cup almonds, soaked
- 3 dates, pitted and soaked
- 1 cup water
Soak the almonds and the dates separately (for at least several hours), then rinse. Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
