Strawberry Banana Supreme Smoothie

Smoothie Category: Banana Smoothies, Strawberry Smoothies

I have been asked to include more strawberry smoothies so here you go. It is worth trying to find strawberry nectar to make this smoothie hum. This is a very popular smoothie as it contains strawberry flavors and banana.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberry nectar or apple juice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup strawberry yogurt

Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender. Add all frozen ingredients. Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then blend at SMOOTH setting until smooth. While the machine is running, move the stir stick around counter-clockwise to aid mixing. Serve immediately. Each recipe serves 3-5.

I love strawberries, my parents have me on a diet to where I can hardly eat anything. I think I have just found my favorite website in the world!!! I love your ideas, so don’t give up!

Tried this recipe a few minutes ago. Yield is about 1.25L. Had no trouble blending, didn’t need a stir stick or anything.

It was very good. I added Blueberries and another banana for flavor. And I also added ice to make it a little bit thicker. Def. plan on making it again.

Instead of using strawberry nectar or apple juice would I be able to use Orange juice?

  12. Blender Man on May 3rd, 2010 7:14 pm

Yes, you can do whatever you like. Orange will add less sweetness than the nectar but more than the apple juice. The acidity will obviously be much higher as well.

I had a similar smoothie this morning with OJ, and plain yogurt instead of strawberry. It is hard to find flavored yogurt without corn syrup. It was very good (I used greek style yogurt).

can you use a magic bullet to blend this?

  18. Blender Man on July 29th, 2010 9:17 am

I use my magic bullet for all the recipes I try. Hasn’t let me down yet. I have had to use less ingredients since my bullet has a smaller glass.
