Raspberry Strawberry Smoothie

My first twitter smoothie recipe submission. Hopefully not my last. This is from @victormazur. I haven’t tried it, but can you go wrong with strawberries, raspberries and pineapple? I submit you cannot. As always, please let me know if you liked it. Thanks, Victor!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 cup of raspberries
  • 1/2 cup of pineapple juice
  • 1 cup of low-fat natural yogurt
  • 5 ice cubes

You can use frozen berries in place of the ice cubes.

This smoothie and the Lemon Tart smoothie both sound great! I like a smoothie after lifting weights, with a scoop of protein added in.

Nozomii – That is always a safe substitution in my mind. Let me know how it goes.

I tried the raspberry strawberry smoothie and it tasted a little tart so I added a 1/2 cup of orange juice and it was delicious. Thanks. :)

mmmm- i love rasberries. I get a frozen variety package at costco and will tend to find a way to add that to the blender drinks I make. Thank you for posting- can’t wait to try!

You decide. THe size of your smoothie will make the difference. I believe any respectable smoothie should be at least 16 ounces.

Just made this minus the pineapple juice and I LOVE IT! It filled up an entire large glass with some left over.

If I’m making the smoothie for 3 people, should i use 10 ice cubes instead of 5? and add 1/2 a cup to the fruit?
