While this is a great smoothie for the Fall or over Thanksgiving, it is also a great smoothie any time of the year. I won’t lie though it makes a great Thanksgiving Day treat either before or after your large turkey dinner, plus it will most likely be the healthiest thing you put in your body that day.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of canned pumpkin
- 1 cup fresh cut apricot or frozen.
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 cup of ice
Blend until creamy. Depending on your sweet tooth you may wish to add another tablespoon of sugar.

the recipe for Pumpkin Smoothie does not indicate whether to use fresh or canned apricots, or do you use juice instead?. Thank you.
Sheri, I have amended the recipe. Please use fresh apricot if you can. Canned will work if frozen is not available.
i made this without the apricot (didn’t have any on hand) and with soy milk and it was great!
always use fresh items it is better then frozen
Not true for smoothies all the time. Frozen fruits can be a better option especially for texture.
Well, at first it didn’t taste that great. But i added in another larger pinch of cinnamon, some Stevia (or sugar) and some vanilla yogurt. Delicious!
Thanks for the receipe :D
Thanks for the update to the recipe.
