Mango Smoothie Recipe

mango smoothie

I love mango, but only in two forms: the fruit itself with nothing else or in a smoothie. That great tangy and yet sweet flavor is unique in the fruit family and is one reason it is so great as a smoothie ingredient. There is nothing complicated about this mango smoothie, just a simple mix of OJ, mango and some honey if you like it a bit sweeter.

frozen mango works ! I mix it with chocolate soy
milk – but not too much – you want the mango AND the chocolate taste !

  9. Reply Jennz September 6, 2009

I really liked it and so did my friends and my cousins!! It tastes so great and mango-y please try it if you’re a mango fan and u can also add a teaspoon of plain yogurt because it adds texture and creaminess to the whole thing and its yummier with the mango!

    • Reply Blender Man July 11, 2010

that will certainly sweeten it up. Sunny-D has a lot of sugar in it. But, hey, it’s your smoothie. Let us know how it turns out.

Simply wonderful. I used these ingredients but also added vanilla yogurt and pineapple chunks (with a bit of juice) for added flavor and texture.

The result? A beverage comparable to the Mango-Pineapple Smoothie at McDonald’s… Maybe even better. :)

  33. Reply Anonymous July 25, 2011

Can you make this without the orange juice?

    • Reply Blender Man July 31, 2011

Yes, but I would add some other juice or just half the amount and use water or ice.

  34. Reply Eddie August 9, 2011

i taste to much oj im not satisfied

  35. Reply Laura August 16, 2011

Pretty good, but deffinetly taste too much orange juice. I added a little more than 1/2 cup because I used a whole cup of freshly chopped mango, but I feel like it needs something else entirely, like bananas, strawberries, or pineapple. It’s still very good nonetheless, nice and cold & frothy, yum :)

is there any substitutes besides O.J.? like any other type of juices i can use? blender man i need your help!

    • Reply Blender Man July 6, 2012

I would say most fruit juices are intermix-able. I would try to keep a more acidic juice if I am replacing orange juice. But really, most juices go well with other fruits. Try one and let us know how it turns out. I love, love using pomegranate juice or a pomegranate blueberry blend. Cranberry and apple mix works well too. Why don’t you want orange juice? IF you want something closer to OJ, try Sunny Delight, but it is really sweet – pineapple juice is close but different.
