I love mango, but only in two forms: the fruit itself with nothing else or in a smoothie. That great tangy and yet sweet flavor is unique in the fruit family and is one reason it is so great as a smoothie ingredient. There is nothing complicated about this mango smoothie, just a simple mix of OJ, mango and some honey if you like it a bit sweeter.
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup peeled, pitted and sliced fresh mango
- honey to taste
- 1/2 cup ice
- Place the juice, fruit and honey in a blender. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds. Add the ice and blend until smooth.
