Well, it has been a while since we have included a secret smoothie recipe and the weather is warming up where I live (Virginia) so I thought it would be time for a smoothie to liven up the spirit and the body and maybe save you a few bucks since you won’t have to go to Jamba Juice to buy their Orange-A-Peel smoothie. While Jamba Juice doesn’t give out their smoothie recipes, they can be deconstructed and so here we have the Jamba Juice Orange-A-Peel smoothie or at least a reasonable facsimile. I would love to hear from Jamba Juice customers how close this actually tastes to the real smoothie in the store. So share you comments below. Jamba Juice Orange-A-Peel Smoothie

Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh orange juice (really try to get fresh OJ for this one)
  • 1 banana
  • 2/3 cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 scoops fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Make sure you crush the ice completely and the drink is smoothie smooth.
  2. Serving size is 24 ounces so get ready for a delicious brain freeze or split with someone for two 12 ounce servings.

    I just wonder how healthy this smoothie is when it contains 440 calories and 102g carbohydrates. I would leave out the frozen yogurt.

    Here is my change up to make a bit healthier- cut up the banana and freeze it, use fresh strawberries, greek yoghurt, a touch of natural vanilla extract, squeeze the OJ yourself, and ice (or I like fresh made almond milk- so easy and better than store bought!) Perfect!
