Found this on Flickr. Simple and to the point, right? I assume you need to add some ice, but maybe not. Let me know if anyone tries this.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of grapes
- 2 handfuls of spinach

The grape really hides the Spinach well.
You’re right, that’s pretty simple! I’ll give it a try tomorrow. I’ve been really excited about GREEN smoothies lately. Green smoothies are IN, FULL of green sunshiny life giving nutrition and in liquid form these nutrients have a shuttle directly to your cells. I feel closer to earth and sun when I fill myself with green juice, but I’ve had a hard time drinking big glasses of green smoothie because the taste can be quite, … well…. grassy. It’s an acquired taste for SURE.
I tried a new green smoothie recipe today and I LOVED it! For new to green drinkers this would be a good start. Give it a try and let me know what you think. (tomorrow I will add my green tea in keeping with the theme!

shelly your scary!! this smoothie is pretty good, i added some ice and probably next time will throw in a shot of protein.
I suggest freezing the grapes. Don’t need ice then and if you’ve never had frozen grapes as a treat especially on a warm day, you’re missing out on something great!
Cathy, you are dead on with the frozen grapes, I love them. My only concern with using them in this smoothie is that you will lose all the grape juice that is used to add some lquidity to the drink. Maybe some sort of half frozen/half not mixture. Or maybe all frozen and a cup or so of soy milk. mmm…i’m getting thirsty.
