Smoothie Detox - Smoothie Detox Recipes

Power Smoothie Recipe

If this power protein smoothie doesn’t get you moving you’ll need to add pure adrenaline. A great smoothie recipe with power.

Power Smoothie

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fruit juice (i.e. orange, cranberry, etc.)

For added nutrition use:

  • 1 Tbls. soy protein powder
  • 1 Tbls. molasses
  • 1 tsp. wheat germ.

Blend until smooth. Then add frozen fruit, i.e. strawberries, raspberries, etc., one at a time, until smoothie is consistency you desire. The basic recipe is: ice, fruit, yoghurt, juice and/or milk. (I usually stick to juice, but sometimes add just a splash of milk to smooth it out.)

Oh, Lawd! in a Glass Smoothie

Whether or not you like this smoothie recipe, and how could you not, look at the ingredients, you have to love the name.

Oh, Lawd! in a Glass Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1⁄2 cup of sliced strawberries
  • 2 apples peeled, cut and with seeds removed
  • 1⁄2 cup of blueberries
  • 1⁄2 cup of peaches
  • 3⁄4 cup of natural apple juice
  • 3⁄4 cup of natural orange juice

Place all ingredients in blender, mix and drink. Make sure your juices are not from concentrate.

Life Saver Smoothie

Smoothies are really a life saver. I drink them when ever I do not want to eat, but need the energy to go. Smoothies are dinner in my house. I break my Juice fasting ” I call my mini miracle” with smoothies.

I use what ever fruits I have in my freezer as a base. Strawberries, blueberries, peaches, pineapples, mangoes, I mean any fruit is fine.
In this base I add sprouts (lentils, mung beans, alfalfa), greens (lettuce, steamed veggies), kifer, whey powder, spirulina.
My favorite sprouts smoothie lately

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups peaches (or other fruit)
  • 1TB lentil sprouts
  • 2TB alfalfa sprouts
  • 1TB ground flax seed
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 TB whey powder
  • 1/4 cup kifer

I use blend stick to blend every thing but the kifer. I stir the kifer after the smoothie is blended. This smoothie is hearty & very satisfying. It tasted good too. Yummy.

Easy-Going Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh apricots, halved, with seed taken out
  • 1 handful of frozen blueberries (or fresh)
  • about 5 strawberries
  • about half a cup of yogurt, either vanilla flavored or plain
  • a couple of tablespoons of honey (or some other liquid sweetener)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • about 8 oz or more of prune juice (I used PlumSmart by Sunsweet)

The smoothie comes out very tangy, but the sweetness of the fruit will cover up a lot of the prune taste that many people don’t like.
