Breakfast Replacement Smoothie
Smoothie Category: Banana Smoothies, Breakfast Smoothies, Fruit Smoothies, Healthy Smoothies, Pineapple Smoothies
Trying to get out the door in the morning and eat a good breakfast is a tough combination, so finding a good smoothie combination to help me is a good idea. Well, I like Grape Nuts cereal and I like to mix it in yogurt and eat it with lunch or for a snack. So why not blend it into a breakfast smoothie? So I did.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup grape nuts
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (low-fat)
- 1 cup ice
- 1 banana
- 2 cups juice (orange, apple or whatever you like. I wouldn’t mind trying pineapple in this)
Blend and feel the energy!

do you know of any breakfast smoothies that contain oatmeal??
My favorite smoothie is 1 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 banana, 1 cup frozen strawberries, and maybe some protein powder.
my favourite breakfast smoothie is
1/3 cup frozen berries (or fav frozen fruit)
1/3 cup rolled oats
100ml skimmed milk
100ml apple juice
the apple juice is for sweetness. sometimes i put in plain yogurt instead of milk and might have to add a little more juice to thin.
i love to add a shake of Cayenne pepper for a kick.
sometimes i vary the fruit like put in a banana for the potassium – or any other fruit that seems to be going off. You can also freeze your banana if you want.
I think I’ll try this one in the morning. Never thought to put grape nuts in a smoothie.
The grape nuts add to the “meal”. Most recipes call for ice, and some for yogurt; I use frozen yogurt which gives enough sweeting, and I can vary the flavor each time I buy a new package –
works for me!
My favorite breakfast smoothie.
2,tbsp wheat germ
1/4 cup blueberries( Note I use frozen fruit)
1/4 cup blackberries
1/4 cup strawberries
1/2 of a bannana
3 tbsp yogurt, I use peach or blueberries
2 handfuls of spinach
one handful of grated carrot
then I add almond milk, this you can use to make your smoothing as thick or as thin as you like… I use about 1/2 cup…
Note I also add 1 tbsp ground flax.
Mix wel, and enjoy…..
