January 29, 2011 · Filed Under Uncategorized · Comment

I know I’m really late to the Facebook party, but better late than never. I just created a SmoothieWeb Facebook page for all of us smoothie fanatics. If you want to follow the page you can do here: Smoothie Web Facebook Fan Page.

I would also encourage you to “like” any of the recipes on the site as I have added a convenient Facebook Like button at the top right every smoothie recipe posted.

And just a reminder we also have a twitter page at http://twitter.com/smoothieweb if you are more of a tweeter than a Facebook Fanatic. ;-)

If neither of these social media sites suit your fancy, no problem, you can subscribe to 0ur email list or just visit Smoothieweb.com whenever the mood hits you.

Thanks for visiting.

Strawberry Lemon Zing Smoothie Recipe

January 15, 2011 · Filed Under Strawberry Smoothies · 7 Comments

Okay, this smoothie may not be for everyone, but I was craving a taste of summer. It is 33 degrees today in the good old city of Richmond, VA and I’m feeling the strong desire for warmer weather. Lemonade stirs memories of warmer times so I felt strawberry smoothie with the zing of lemon was a good choice. Let me know if this smoothie made your day, cold or not.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups lemonade
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup strawberry yogurt

Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender. Add all frozen ingredients. Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then blend at SMOOTH setting until smooth. While the machine is running, move the stir stick around counter-clockwise to aid mixing. Serve immediately. Each recipe serves 2, in my opinion, your serving sizes may vary. ;-)

Tropical Pina Colada Smoothie

January 9, 2011 · Filed Under Pineapple Smoothies, Protein Smoothie · 3 Comments

I’m not a huge fan of pina colada, although I love the song. ;-) But I must admit I do love the smell of coconut so if you make this smoothie, I would suggest really getting the coconut milk and not using regular milk. It will make all the difference. This is a great breakfast smoothie with plenty of vitamins and protein to get your day started right and make you feel as if you are on vacation in some tropical paradise. I also think substituting the apple for mango is a nice twist. Comment below if you try this tropical smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 apple
  • 3 Tbs coconut milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange

Blend and serve. If you want to get fancy add a Cocktail drink Umbrella and garnish with pineapple and banana.

We hope this smoothie recipe provieds you with the smoothie of your dreams.
