Apple Pie Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 scoop vanilla ice cream

Preparation:
Mix apple juice and ice cream in blender. Add cinnamon. Pour into a glass.

This recipe yields 1 serving.

Almond Fruit Smoothie

Almonds Low Calorie Fat Free Diet Meatless Nuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Orange juice
  • 1 cup Frozen peaches
  • 1 x Peeled banana, cut into 1″ chunks and frozen
  • 2 tbl Slivered almonds, toasted *

Preparation:
Add juice to electric blender, then add remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth.

Servings: 1 (2-cup) or 2 (1 cup)

* To toast almonds, spread in an ungreased baking pan. Place in 350 degree oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until almonds are light brown; stir once or twice to ensure even browning. Note that almonds will continue to brown slightly after removing from oven.

Watermelon Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups seeded watermelon chunks
  • 1 cup cracked ice
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Makes 2 to 3 servings.

Pina Colada Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple pieces
  • 1 frozen banana, peel banana before freezing
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen vanilla or strawberry yogurt
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3 tablespoon coconut

Preparation

Combine all ingredients together and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Creamsicle Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cantaloupe, cubed
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes

Preparation

Combine cantaloupe, orange juice, honey, and vanilla in blender. Process until smooth. Add in ice until thick.

Orange Julius Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup frozen concentrated orange juice
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 or 6 ice cubes

Preparation

Mix everything in blender and enjoy.

Pumpkin Smoothie

Are you tired of making pumpkin pie from those pumpkins? Instead, try making an altogether different concoction. This mild but sweet beverage will give you another reason to love the Halloween season.

Ingredients

  • sugar pumpkin
  • milk or cream
  • apple cider
  • sugar
  • cinammon
  • nutmeg
  • vanilla extract
  • apple slices
  • banana slices
  • chocolate syrup
  • rum

Preparation

  1. Cut the top off of the pumpkin.
  2. Scoop out all the seeds.
  3. Cut off the orange outer skin.
  4. Cut the remaining shell into cubes.
  5. Boil the cubes until they’re soft.
  6. Throw them into the blender with milk, apple cider, and other spices and ingredients to taste.
  7. Pour yourself a cup, curl up next to your fireplace (or at least a fireplace screensaver) and enjoy!

Tips

Drink it hot or cool, topped with whipped cream.
Mix it with coffee for some pumpkin spice caffeine.
Throw in just a splash of rum to pack a punch.

Orange Mango Smoothie

An excellent mango smoothie.

Ingredients

Preparation

Peel the mango, oranges and bananas and put in the blender. Blend until smooth. You may not need the water, but if it is too thick add water now and blend again.

Banana Smoothie with Chocolate

banana lovers will find this hard to resist.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 orange
  • 3 oz. yogurt
  • Chocolate (shaved or grated)

Preparation

Place peeled orange and bananas in blender and blend until smooth. Add the yogurt and blend again. Pour into a tall glass and decorate either shaved or grated chocolate.

Southwest Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup banana; Sliced
  • 1/2 cup mango, Papaya, Or Guava
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Honey

Preparation:

Choose only one of the fruits, mango, Papaya, or Guava.

Serves 3 people
